Our Story
Organized in 1913*, the Florida Federation of Music Clubs, Inc. is a member of the National Federation of Music Clubs and is dedicated to furthering music education and fostering a musical environment in our communities through the sponsorship of musical events and by providing performing opportunities for our talented and deserving young people across Florida.
History Note
*FFMC's first president, Mrs. James H. Hirsch was appointed by NFMC in the year 1913.
Because of the intervening World War, no meeting was held until 1917 when Mrs. L. B. Safford was elected president at the first convention held in Miami.
Who We Are
A statewide community of professional and amateur music teachers, performers, students, as well as generous benefactors and music lovers, who volunteer their time and energy to support young artists across Florida.
What We Do
FFMC, Inc hosts Festivals, competitive events, scholarships, awards, outreach projects, conferences and performance opportunities throughout the state.​
