2012 Topic: "Music... Sounds That Inspire"


Rules:

1. Title of Essay: "Music... An Instrument of Universal Expression"
   
2. Length of Essay: 500 words or less. Essay MUST be typed and will be judged on neatness, legibility and content.
   
3. Membership in FFMC is required and open to all students 7-12 grade.
   
4. The Essay becomes the property of the sponsoring group for publication of the entire essay or parts of it and will not be returned.
   
5. The decision of the judges will be final and accepted by all.
   
6. Student can submit the same essay to both National and State. Please send two copies of your essay: one with the FFMC state application, and the second copy of the essay, with the National Music Week Essay Contest entry form. All entries will be sent to NFMC by the state chairman.
   
7. Include a wallet photo of yourself.
   
8. Send two (2) copies of your essay along with the state and national entry forms to:

Deadline: postmarked by December 15, 2011

Awards:

1. First Place Award for grades 9-12 is a $100.00 Savings Bond

2. First Place Award for grades 7-8 is a $50.00 Savings Bond.
