Awards and Scholarships

Both the National Federation of Music Clubs (NFMC) and the Florida Federation of Music Clubs (FFMC) provide opportunities for students to compete for awards and scholarships. For NFMC options, please click on NFMC Award/Scholarship Opportunities. FFMC Awards and Scholarship opportunities include:

  Stephen Foster/Jeanie Auditions - voice competition for young women ages 17 to 23 and young men ages 18 to 24.
 
  Student/Collegiate Auditions - competition held in odd numbered years.
Instrumentalists: Must have reached the 19th, but not the 26th birthday by March 1, the year of the auditions.
Vocalists: Must have reached the 19th, but not the 26th birthday by March 1, the year of the auditions.
 
  NFMC offers several non-performance awards/scholarships in areas such as Music Education, Music Therapy and Music Composition. For more information see the NFMC web site (or go directly to the Annual Student/Collegiate page under Competitions)
   
  Young Artist Auditions - competition for young artists ready for a concert career
 
  FFMC Junior Convention Awards - scholarships and awards presented to juniors (18 and under) at state festival
 
  Junior Composer's Contest - contest for original musical compositions in four age determined classifications
 
  Essay Contest - written essay contest for Juniors on a given topic (in two different age groups)
 
  Classical Ballet Awards - cash awards in classical ballet, endowed by Frances Rands Beery. Open to students of ballet ages 12-18.
